Pentamere: the "five seas"; the Great Lakes.
From the heart of Michigan's...um, automotive country, we bring you wines from the vines and
orchards of the Great Lakes.
It's all in the precision parts- great fruit
with distinct regional character-and in the custom detailing. At Pentamere, old-fashioned winemaking
craftsmanship meets innovative design.
Yes, this is where the rubber hits the road. We encourage you to
take our wines for a spin. Here at our manufacturing plant and proving grounds (cleverly disguised as a
winery and tasting room), there's only one motto: Drink what tastes good to you. Whether you're
looking for the scent of leather in our barrel-aged "131 Cabernet Sauvignon Select" or
reveling in a "Sunset Blush", you'll find styling that suits your tastes.
Put the top down. Relax. You're in for a joy ride.

Bottling day
|
|
The Pentamere cellar gnomes are in action this Saturday, August 28, as yet more
Michigan Cherry goes into the bottle. When we say hand-crafted, we mean it!
|
|
Well-wrought
|
|
August's artist is Justin Powell. His wrought-iron and stone creations may be
viewed at the winery during the month.

Feeling Festive?
|
|
Pentamere, along with other Michigan wineries, will again be appearing at the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly.
We're up to three weekends this year—September 11 & 12, September 25 & 26, and
October 2 & 3. See you there!

Ahem...
|
|
A little while back, we had a tasting experience on board the Adrian & Blissfiled's
"Murder Mystery Train" (luckily, there were no deaths). Due to a slight error, we did not have
a copy of the notes used in the class available for everyone. Well, the wonderous web allows us
to rectify that error. The notes may be retrieved here.
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, which you can download and install
here.

Flattery will get you...
|

Pretty much anywhere, as far as we're concerned. We just wanted to note Real Detroit
Weekly's review of Pentamere (and a few neighbors), which you may read
here.
Thank you, Real Detroit!

The Taster's Guild International Wine Judging—14 nations, 38 states,
7,000 wines—and four medals for Pentamere. Dry Riesling, Le
Griffon, Walk-in-the-Water, and Sovereign of the Lakes all received bronze
medals from the Guild.
Sovereign, Le Griffon, and Dry Riesling were also entered in the Great Lakes competition at Oakland
University, and all received silver medals. Also earning silver at OU was our Bayport
dessert wine. Great Lakes bronze medal winners were Wings of the Wind, Garnet,
and Eveningstar.

Coming soon (well, not really)
|

The annual bus tour is just around the corner. Admittedly, the corner is about a mile
thataway, but you can get tickets for this November's Big Grape Tour here.
